GOLD DIGGER

First of all, I chose this particular topic as this month's basis because as soon as I left my student life and enter this cruel, harsh world of real life, I accidentally find myself surrounded by a bunch of 'gold diggers'. And they have given me a mixed feeling.

Gold digger. Definition (urban-dictionary) = Someone who sticks on to another person(s) only for his/her money.

In MY dictionary = socially-useless, low self-esteem, sexual skanks who would fuck, suck any he, she or it for some cha-ching, cha-ching, some bling-bling, some dollar-dollar.

So what makes someone a gold digger? I believe, and this is 100% based on my instincts & observation and absolutely 100% 0 statistics or bar-chart-diagrams supported, that these bitches do these mainly because of their insecurity and lack of confidence in themselves and well, just pure laziness.
Theory 1) Not that they do not believe they have confidence or the power, it's just that they do not believe they can make enough money to support the lifestyle.
Theory 2) Just lazy. Pure. Lazy. Why work your ass off, kill your brain and earn ank's fees when you can gain shit loads from doing jack shit? I mean literally, jack someone's shit off!

Whichever the theories, gold diggers are surprisingly shallow-minded when it comes to money but surprisingly deep when it comes to their wallets (& throats... if you get what I mean *wink wink*)

I have huge admiration to those who become gold diggers and I pity them too. It takes a lot of luck, a lot of research, a lot of patience, and frankly, a lot of sex too to become a gold digger. If only, I can do more research, more patience, more self-pity, I guess I would jump right off to the next rich guy or lady and fuck the stinking $$$$$$ out of them!

All bullshit aside, if you have any self-respect, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-loving, I do hope you will not go on being a gold digger. Not that one is not allowed to love a rich man and be automatically categorized as gold digger, just do not love a someone because he/she is rich. Love them despite they are rich.

Three. Goldigger.

Money. Materialistic. Brandism. Plastic. Long Legs. Big Boobies. Trade. NO WORK or more work on visual maintenance?
Everything has a price tag, their target do and so do themselves. &who said a goldigger must be a woman? Guys whom depend on their partners/parents and not being aggressive in improving themselves are goldiggers, digging the fruits their families and friends achieved.

Two. Mistakes.

聖人都有錯.
I have been encountered with various of recent incidents related to mistakes ever since we have came up with the topic of this unit.
Back in the days in Headington, the teachers encouraged us digesting words and raise questions. I still remember my first Geography lesson on glacier, a classmate asked a question out of nowhere: "Mrs Geoffrey, why is snow white?" I rolled my eyes, urgh what a meaningless question. Teachers that I have been came across would have shunned me if I ask things like this. Surprisingly, Mrs Geoffrey answered it throughly in a way that would interest me dig deeper into the core of glacier formation and things other than textbooks. That's how they roll in England.
With my 6 years of education in UK, I have learnt to digest, to ask, to question and to challenge.
Yes and to ask stupid questions.
When I had my first tutorial in uni, I was frustrated and admitted to my tutor how I had a few technical mistakes in my project. "Karen, you know what, having mistakes is good. We are actually expecting mistakes and we love mistakes. It is the process of learning, without making mistakes, you will never learn and we would love to see how you encounter and solve your problems. You won't be perfect in your first year, neither your second nor final year. Cos you're not perfect and never will you be perfect. Mistakes are beautiful cos it marks your learning process. If you're so good that you don't make any mistakes, you don't even need to go to uni, you can simply be my tutor teaching me. And in fact, I'm still learning from you youngsters too." I have to admit I'm the kind who makes numerous careless mistakes and course I looooove this idea of failing and climbing from where I tripped hahahaaa

So it surprised me that it would be offending people when I spot out their mistakes and ask questions upon that.
Wells, that's how their roll in HK. Superiors are always right.

It is my mistake that I couldn't come up with any artwork in this unit. Theres just too many ideas in my head that I don't know where to start with. I like the idea of using tipix, erasable ink pen and cassette tape film as medium. But yea, how shall I start &I didn't have any time to date experimenting... hahaaa...
Mistakes to me are positive motivation for improvement and it is another way of doing things.
One would try and amend, erase or pray to the capital him that time could be reversed, wanting to start again.
But "What is done cannot be undone." - Macbeth, William Shakespeare. At least we could try and learn from our mistakes and be a better person:)))

Depression.

One.Felix.

For me, Depression is a state of mind - a seclusion, a struggle within the mind, that goes completely opposite to the body. Depression is a dark place in the soul, like the attic of a house, that stores all kinds of secrets, fetishes, taboo thoughts, sufferings. Depression is a stream of negative energy that exists alongside all other energies within the body yet without it, all other energies seem all the less bright, less radiant. Just like sweat, depression is stinky and disgusting but is necessary to the body as it brings out all the unwanted substances out of the body. If not cleaned away clear enough, one will stink in his/her own sweat/depression. It is the dangerous flow of thoughts that lies within Depression that makes one so easily fall back into it over and over. So one must have strict self-conduct in order to let Depression do its duties and drain out all negative energies but not let it affect your life.

We are people who are passionate about art but reality trapped us in the concrete office partition jungle.
To balance our life, we are collaborating an art project within cities and countries.
Every two weeks, we will set up a theme or title, and express it with our unique understanding based on our art background and interest.
We think it would be interesting how different people interpret a subject and further learn from each other.

Depression to me is insecurity and lack of energy. When this negative energy accumulated, anger will evoke and unleash eventually.
When ones depressed, one may be destructive and try to tear things up or even hurt oneself. Depression will eventually be healed or amended but the scar would always be there.
